Yukon is a good guy. We skirmished here a bit during his liberal conversion at UT but I tend to do that with some fine members.
His avatar always freaked me out. I don't know why. Just one of those images that stuck with me forever. Was he a mod way back then?

I started the Glasspar Boat Owners Association more than 20 years ago and used to run the website. Then everyone decided that Facebook was a better option, so membership dropped and finally I closed the site 2 years ago. I'm still a fan of Glasspar boats and will keep the username until I die.
Nice - I had a Glasstron, I loved that boat. I was a member of the Classic Glasstron Owners Association forum, well, I guess I still am, I still have my login credentials. They had some good gatherings that I never made it to. Always wanted to but at the time had young kids and all of the gatherings were a good distance away. I lived in Omaha, and they were mostly in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma City. Glasstron had some very cool boats!!

Yes. His son just started at UCLA and Jason is a full fledged professor now. Quite a change from making tires at Dayton back in the day.

Robert A. Heinlein fan since a teenager. Many of his books contained political ideology and it's debatable as to whether he was a socialist or capitalist (I think the latter.) In one of his books "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" he brought forth the concept of "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch" which is of course absolutely true. So TANSTAAFL is the name I chose.
FWIW, Jerry Pournelle said he was the one who introduced Heinlein to TANSTAAFL. The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress is one of my favorite books, and I usually listen to the audiobook about once per year.

As for my username, the Sooner part should be self-explanatory, and the SIG P226 was the first handgun I bought.
