Who knows these days? Could've been anything from some punk kids looking for excitement to a dry run prior to a real attack. There's no telling.

Typical of this administration, in conjunction with the media machine.
The new normal is that the public gets zero answers, zero accountability. So it went with the attempted assassination, of Donald Trump. No press conferences, minimized exposure, way too many suspicious details, details never covered by legacy media.
The media have circled the tanks around established democrats, and they will protect them at all costs as they go through the vulnerable stage of creating the image of momentum around Kamala.
They do not fear the voter, which means they already are confident they will retain power, as long as no one remembers how unlikeable and incompetent the real Kamala is.

Unclear if in the initial shooting if the guards were in fact armed . Article claims that with additional guards post the 1st attack, that in the 2nd attack, shots were “ exchanged”.
Do guards @ guard posts in country, & foreign bases in friendly countries, have armed weapons ?

When my BIL was on guard duty they had unloaded weapons. Had to get base commander approval to load and engage. (That was 40 years ago)
