Can someone give me the pros/cons to shooting steel cased 9mm ammo. I would be shooting them through a Glock 19 and a Rock Island 1911 in 9mm. I know you can't reload steel, but I don't reload anyways. I would be buying the ammo for plinking purposes only, and I know steel is quite a bit cheaper. Just looking for some advice. Thanks everyone for your help!

In the grand scheme of things I don't think steel case ammo would hurt a thing on your Glock. I suppose it may put some wear on the extractor over time but you'd have to run a bunch of ammo through it before that would happen.

I've fired at least 2-3 thousand rds of Wolf pistol and rifle ammo over the last fifteen yrs. with no wear or damage noticable on my guns. Maybe a bit dirtier chamber/action to clean after 100+ rds fired, but it ain't no thang for shooter who does his maintenance.
