Seriously I find the drug ads kind of funny in a twisted way. "Our product will help clear up that embarrassing skin rash! Possible side effects are anal leakage, headache, diarrhea, suicidal thoughts, long term boner (which may explode), tooth decay, blurry vision, hairy palms, bad breath, loss of appetite, and DEATH!!! Yes you may die, but you will look great!"

Yes I borrowed Parks 788's side effects because he covered most of them.

Side effects may include: depression or thoughts or suicide, a rash that may turn fatal, anxiety, an erection that lasts longer than four hours etc etc etc.

If they can advertise phone sex and escorts I don't see why they can't advertise their drugs. If you truly believe these companies are in it to save lives anymore then all I can say is it is time to wake up and come to grips with reality. Plus censorship is terrible.

The reason I say no is because it's by prescription only. OTC medications and other things that don't require you to have a prescription, I think, are fine with advertising.

The ad was accepted (contract) to be aired / printed. The company paid the fees for the service. Do I like such ads? not usually, but I'm not a pill popper or one who runs to the Dr. every time I sneeze.

I agree, seeing these ads with their disclaimers and KNOWN side effects, is usually all of the cure I need.

They advertise beer, whiskey, extremely violent video games, KY, EPT, and Trojan, and Skoal, yet ban cigarettes? The nanny state deciding what you see or decide to use.

They need to ban all those commercials too. I don't like commercials -- especially the sexually explicit ones ... They always get me in trouble ... (Take that however you wish ... Sometimes it's "good" trouble, sometimes it's "bad" ... but it's still a bother for somebody around here, either way ... )

Although I gotta admit I still can't figure out why a guy would take a pill to get a boner and then get into a bathtub all by himself when there's a perfectly good woman in the bathtub right next to him??
