Well against my better judgement...I'm gonna hit the road tomorrow and head to my place in Nebraska where they are experiencing a pretty good snow storm right now and probably through most of the night. I wanna see some dang snow and will do what it takes. I'll be loaded down with way too much gear and food "just in case" since my car does terrible in slick conditions...but I have all weekend to get there. I hope to head out mid morning and be there before it gets dark, or at least really close where I'm way more comfortable with the surroundings Its normally a 7ish hour drive so we'll see what the snow factor adds. If all goes well getting there, I'll walk a few fields on Thanksgiving and hope to kick up some dinner pheasant style. Its been years since the hunting has been good but its also been years since I've been able to hunt in snow so maybe that'll help things. It'll be fun having to take the 4 wheeler from the house to the hunting spots...that'll be a first for me.
Wish me luck!
