You are probably right and it sucks what he did to her. But she messed up and the law is the law.

I hope she moves on and finds a better man.

Can't argue with that. Consequences have actions.

The consequences in this case are pretty harsh considering the "crime". Crimes on the streets and highway often get officer discretion and nobody seems to say the law is the law.

The whole point of the OP was to suggest that the "victim" male used the consequences to get even instead of accepting responsibility for what he did to her. Even if the poor boy had to get a little red skin on the back.

It's all a rant and it's all my opinion.

Please show me where it differentiates between male and female aggressors???? Show me where is says that if it's a "***** slap" it is okay???? Show me where it says that receiving "red marks" are okay, as long a scorned a woman was the giver of said red marks????

Show me that I said it was OK in the law to begin with. Are you butthurt over my opinons about pansies or are you just trying to prove a red herring?

Your implying because he's an ex marine he's supposed to above something. Thats flawed logic.

If she slapped him on back and left a red hand print, im certain if the police could still see the hand print after 15-30 mins, it was quite a slap. Was he wearing a shirt? It would take police that long to respond, interveiw, investigate.

It also seems your pissed because your out bond money, who's fault is that? Hell at the rate your involving your self, you should hire her a lawyer or go beat up the pansy ex-marine who will either kick your ass or file assault charges against you.

Personally i would disengage myself from the drama.

Yeah I agree with you. Most likely he knew she was going to react when he told her he was cheating.
Problem is she did react. Sucks.

It's OK, we all know how weak and emotional some women can be. :Heya:

Can I agree he probably was a pansy, and she probably is still right to face the consequences of her actions? (This without knowing more info, and I won't ask for more info, so these are both bold assumptions)

That means everyone loses, but it sounds like a rough situation where no one would come out a winner in the first place :(

I'm gonna go armchair Kojak on you for a second, but I think domestic violence (and I use the term deliberately loosely here) is one area where officer discretion has been cut way back in recent times, and the officers are being instructed more and more to bring people in for booking (and let the attorneys figure it out after the fact). For better or worse.
