Not to change the thread in any way, but be prepared for comments about our Oklahoma "domestic beers" tasting a little different than they are used to. Only 3 states have our "green" beer taste, pulled off early to meet the less than 3.2% rules. Make sure the FAA guys have a good time, they are our friends. Have a great time.

Earl's at 6816 N. Western, been eating there for years and NEVER got a bad meal!!

Punkin's in Paul's Valley has moved East about a quarter of a mile from where it has been for years. Everyone I ever talked to about Punkin's says how great it is, but personal opinion, the original Earl's on N. Western beats it hands down. I am with holding final judgement on the Earl's in Moore, not enough visits to make a final decision. Just my opinion though.

I kinda explained that to them on the phone but we all drink Corona so the 3.2 rule isn't in affect. 9 out of 10 places Ive been to don't serve the 3.2 corona.

I like Swadleys. I have never had a bad meal at the 39th and Rockwell location. I havent been to Steves Rib in quite a while but I used to eat there alot and it was always good.
Van's is good. Especially the one in Shawnee.
Earl's is pretty good most of the time.

As a transplanted Jersey boy, I would say don't worry. They'll have no idea of what good BBQ tastes like! I was wondering-if they are FAA, are they coming in from the William J. Hughes Technical Center? I used to live just north of there and drove by it when I commuted to one job I had.

Rudy's on memorial. Makes swadleys bad brads and earl's seem like dog food. The moist brisket pork loin and hot links are awesome. Also I'd highly recommend the green chili stew as a side. The other three are good but half as good as Rudy's.

I'm actually a transplant Jersey guy also. South Jersey that is (you know we have 2 states in one). They work out of the Atlantic City airport/military base. About the only BBQ they have had good over there is Famous Daves.

XPerties-that is the William J. Hughes Technical Center, formerly NAFEC. They fly out of Atlantic City International Airport, which has the 177th Fighter Wing of the NJ Air National Guard unit stationed there. They flew a lot of the CAP (combat air patrol) missions in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area after 9/11.

I used to live in the Mystic Islands section of Little Egg Harbor Township, north of the airport. One night a few days after 9/11, two F-16s from the 177th scrambled for a report of an unidentified aircraft in the middle of the night. They were in full afterburner when they passed over my house, waking me up and scaring my wife.
