I live across the state from the JM Davis and have been there twice. Really a fantastic firearms museum!
I'm not a big fan of Main Street, but Farley's is delish. They have the best burger in town and offer a secret menu (Spicy McHaggis--You're welcome) with a good selection of food and beer. El Maguey's for Mexican and Hammet House is always good (Coconut cream pie--You're welcome

Main Street isn’t “great”, but it’s a better option than what there was three years ago if you got tired of Mexican.

I'm here. Sounds like a go. Do we eat first and visit in the afternoon? I know some probably need nap time right after lunch, but to make travel easier for those that don't live nearby, I'd think that would be the proper time to tour. Early lunch like 10:30-11:00 am?
