Haven't gotten to fish too much yet (boat trouble), but our club fished Murray last weekend. As usual, the weather folks got it wrong and way underestimated the wind. It was tough (for me) and I only boated one keeper, but the guy who won our tourney had over 13 lbs and a 7 lb kicker.

That's not too bad a stringer. Windy days are tough, especially on Murray. I hadn't seen anything on local clubs. Any info on yours you'd be willing to share? Was part of a local bass club back home in Texas, I still try to fish tournaments with them if I can, but something local would be really cool.

We'd love to have you if you are into the whole mini-boat or tube thing. Our website is here:

If you're looking for a big boat club though, the place to look is here:

Did you guys see the Lake Murray lake record largemouth catch was just busted with a 12+ pounder?

Also, the Ft. Cobb lake record largemouth also just busted with a 10.6 pounder.

And Jeff Kriet (Bassmaster Elite Series Pro) caught that 12 pounder!

Awesome, thanks a bunch for the info. By the way, in a fit of insomnia, I was looking through one of the tackle bags and noticed I am out of Berkley 4 in. Plum color worms. Haven't been able to find them locally or at Bass Pro. Know where I might be able to find some? My last 2 tournaments I fished before I left home for basic, those worms got me 1st place.

Ahh, I'd seen the fly shop when we went to the cabins at Broken Bow last time, wanted to stop but didn't have the time. Guess I have another reason to go there aside from maybe getting a state record crappie. The wife got one last time that was about 4 oz shy of breaking it.:ooh2:
