I do know I was at academy for shotgun shells and they had 7.62 up front and the lady sold the guy in front of me 3 boxes but would only let me have the limit of one.

Academy's policy on ammo is: you can buy a max of three boxes but only one box per caliber. so, for example, if you want .380, 9mm and 40 S&W but they only have .380 you can only buy one box of .380.

They have 7.62, .223 & .556 on that rule too which made me mad because the guy said he was only buying the one caliber he should be able to get the 3 boxes and she said yes and I was right there and got denied

I don't know about standing in line, But after today Academy is off my list of places i will spend another dime.
my youngest son has been asking for a airgun/pellet gun for a while, Went to academy check on getting some 9mm SD ammo(of course none available) and he found a Crossman 177 pellet rifle, Tag on the shelf was marked "on sale" $59.99.. he says thats the one he wants so we grab it, 5 or 6 packages of 177 pellets, a few targets ect.. Get to the check out and the airgun rings up $74.99, we point out it's marked $59.99 on the shelf for this model #, Checker says no problem and calls to the back to make sure, mean while my son goes back to get another pack of targets, comes back and says the guy working the hunting counter just took the sale tag off the shelf.. the checker says there's nothing she can do and no manager is available...
