or wear them correctly. It's hard to know the variables in play. I only commented on how our numbers rose and fell. Luckily my governor is pretty worthless so he doesn't do much.

Yes. I'm sure ICU nurses need to be schooled on how to wear the PPE they wear 12 hours a day.

I'm sure they don't, but if we are talking about variables that might factor into such things then it cannot be ruled out completely. No?

We all get lax, i'm sure.

But again, i only pointed out that the numbers in MS moved in pretty much direct relation to the state-wide mandates. But it might not be related.

Don't know anything about MS, but in Tulsa county we've been under a mask mandate for quite some time and have seen no meaningful decline in cases or hospitalizations. We can point the finger to neighboring cities, but if everyone is wearing a mask in Tulsa, and they are effective, how is being transmitted?

Lots of variables there. I know here we had lots of people declare they'd not shop anywhere with a mandate, so they'd leave and go elsewhere. Then 'elsewhere's' numbers went up.

Are people leaving tulsa to avoid the mandate but bringing it back with them? Are people going into work required to wear masks there? We've already discussed the complexities of dining and wearing a mask.

For us, positive cases are reported by your county of residence. So if someone left here, got infected and came back, they'd still show as being a positive against our county. Could the same be happening in Tulsa?

But i'm also guessing there is evidence from around the world (to confirm or refute) usefulness.

As i said, having a county by county mandate did not show meaningful decline here. But a statewide mandate did (as did an increase in cases when that mandate expired). Were other variables at play? Perhaps. Or perhaps it was effective.

Stitt is being dragged into action. I believe his heart is not in these measures but he has to respond to the outcry. The measures seem designed to look like things are being done.... without having much impact on people's businesses and livelihoods (must close after 11:00pm)
