Back to the OP since we've gone off the path and veered toward 300-400+ Danner, Whites, and Wescos. Those are also arguably overkill for a more fashion boot.

These are somewhat over the budget of 150, but they are Danner (albeit imported though quality would still exceed most other shoes out there).

Danner runs large, so the 14 may well fit a regular size 15 wearer. Also make that style in a couple other colors.


Also, these are The North Face, which sometimes are a bit too trendy, but I've heard they are actually very good boots. Insulated though so would not do well in summer and early fall:

Only go up to a 14. Not sure if they run big (meaning they would fit a 15), but Nordstroms has free shipping and free returns and legendary service so there's nothing to lose. Very close to the budget as well.

I wear a 15 and have good luck with Ariat for western style boots. Thay do not offer square toe in that size just round. I also like Timberlands you may want to look at shoes xl.com or destinationxl.com they have sales right now.
