Totally freaking amazing....I was at a hunt at the McAlister AAP this weekend and Saturday morning got rained out, so we went to the wally world in McAlister an found their ammo counter packed full of ammo.
.22, .223, .45acp......so on and so on... I asked the clerk if they got special shipments, and he just laughed. He had read on the net where the metro areas and lots of others (PC) couldn't get ammo. He said that mindset didn't apply to them. I bought .300 savage, and several others that are not available. WHY??

This evening, I went to to the wally world in PC and the shelves were again bare. Told the guy at the counter what had been seen that morning in Big Mac, and he just shrugged his shoulders. What the heck?????

I was just coming onto this board to post a thread about how the rush on ammo is apparently over. I've been to several places lately that have a TON of ammo, including the local Walmart. I have followed it quite closely over the past few months and you could see that it was coming to an end. From what I'm seeing, I think it's over already. Just a few more weeks and everyone should be stocked back up.

We're getting a little bit here in Stillwater. Lots of 40S&W. Usually .223. Some 9mm and .45, but that still goes pretty fast.

I was in the local wm a couple weeks ago on two seperate occassions.
Both times there was a decent stocking of ammo on the shelves.
Both times I picked up a couple bulk packs of 22lr.
Like I've been saying it's starting to catch up, or as someone else said everyones starting to get thier stockpiles full again.

I am not surprised. My father and I used to hunt with the manager of the Mc Alester wal-mart back when I was a kid. He would always have the latest hunting stuff. He and my father used to go hunting with the corporate guys. They would fly into Mc Alester pick them up and then head off. I know he was able to get my uncle a desert eagle. It was one of the first ones in the country.
