Granted you follow certain teachings, and not others?

The church or Christianity? The church - I don't follow all teachings of the Catholic Church, birth control for example. I see nothing wrong with it and it makes way more sense to me than abortion. The teachings of God / Jesus in the New Testament, yes. Although I fail all the time but get back up and try again.

I don't think that our understanding of the physical world has anything to do with it. Let's take WWII for example, was German and Italy full of atheists? Nope. Seems those goalposts are all over the place when convenient. We are horrified by what ISIS does to non-believers..... the reality is that just 70 years ago..... a nation full of christians stood by and committed atrocities infinitely worse that what current radical muslims have done.

I've brought up the same issues several times, nobody wants to discuss them. I also believe your point about ISIS goes further than that. We're appalled that ISIS is said to have beheaded 3000 so far, history says Charlemagne(first Holy Roman Emperor, church/state) had 4500 Saxons beheaded in one day at Verdun because they would not accept Christianity and give allegiance to the empire. So without the same tactics used by ISIS today Christendom and the world we know today might well be very different.

Along with that it should also be noted that the fascist of that time didn't start the anti-Jewish situation, Christians in the middle ages did, I think England was one of the first to make them wear "a mark". It should also be noted that even with our Declaration and Constitution New Hampshire was the last state to fully emancipate Jews here in America and that wasn't until 1877 or so.

Many Christian OSA members felt harassed by the Atheist OSA members - the "Christians Only forum" is hoped to be a refuge for expression of Christian viewpoints, although not intended to be exclusively or predominately religously oriented.

In case you hadn't noticed, everytime a Christian makes a religious statement, multiple Atheists will assert that religion is evil, hypocritical, evil or what have you.

Whether or not the christian forum addition will work as hoped remains to be seen.

Kind of like when a Dem says something and the Repubs jump on them? Or when some mention or in public fly the Confederate Flag and so many jump on them? Maybe there's no room in debate or polite conversion for any group who says their way is right and the only right? Isn't much of the history of Christianity some Christians jumping on and even persecuting other Christians for not holding the "right" Christianity? Wasn't there a whole crusade against one group of Christians?

The bigger question is why is there going to be a “Christian Forum”?

Is it because some pesky Lutherans are trying to proselytize heathens who don’t see the light of shooting a 1911? Is it because some Catholics are trying to convert the shooting world to 9mm?

Or is there going to be a “Christian Forum” because people have had enough of religious bigots that troll forums such as this to post their hate simply because some believe differently than they do?

Does anyone think that a separate forum page will stop the religious bigots from flaming Christians? A better solution than a “Christian Forum” would be to have a zero tolerance policy to religious bigotry. There is a zero tolerance towards racial bigotry, right? Make it the same for religious bigotry. Enforce a civil discourse policy that treats bigotry as bigotry.

Let's talk about religious bigotry, Christians want the 10 Commandments on every square inch of government property, they want creation taught in place of science in schools, they want special tax privileges for their businesses they call churches, they demand that the phrase "under god" remain in the pledge of allegiance, etc. Maybe if the religious quit trying to shove their religion down the throats of those that believe differently than they do, there wouldn't be so much disgust toward the religious.

I could agree with that, and too go further let's remember we're only dealing with one type Christianity here yet there are others, and they came from the same beginnings.
I saw one of the preachers talking about the genocide of Christians in Syria, Egypt, etc. yet what did most Christians think or care about these other types of Christians before now when it's become a political or nationalistic issue?
