Oh, so you're a strict judicial originalist. I dabbled in that for a while when I was younger.

Also I'm not sure what you mean by a protected class? If you mean "not discriminating against two people who love each other" then...yeah, they can have all the huge passes there are.

I sure hope 2016 brings us a third party so we can step over all these paradigms that give us something to be divided about. If marriage did not involve the government (Which in an absolute context it truly does not) then we wouldn't have all this conflict in the first place. People could do what they want and call it what they want. Find a gay pastor to give you a gay marraige and go your way, but don't involve the force or benefits of government in your choice or anyone elses. The way it stands now the situation sticks in everyones craw as it is crammed down our throats by the force of government. Both sides trying to use government to force others to comport with their own views.

These crazy people talking about Romney are driven by the force of government in their lives.

Our modus operandi should be with very broad consensus and understanding when it comes to the force of government.
