I agree you don't need to believe in God to know murder, rape, theft, and other crimes are not right. We have laws to confirm that, but people that do follow religion us that as a secondary belief to confirm the man made laws.
I'm just stating that as an opinion.
They don’t have to show to confiscate them. They are disarming us with each new law they pass. They know what they are doing. They want us to think we won’t be disarmed. They want us to sit back like we always do. Meanwhile they are hard at work to strip away the 2A. It WILL happen.

Who is the "they"? Are we saying that all elected representatives (all levels), are in some sort of club or organization that is out to distoy our nation? Some special set of people that have been chosen to rule, and they have been able to keep this a secret from the rest of the country, until us smart OSAers exposed them?
I can believe that there are well meaning leaders that truly believe that their "common sense" ideas are just that, and for the betterment of society, these ideas should be in place. I can believe that there are those that believe that, like vapes, like recreational drugs, like alcohol, and on and on, firearms should just become something of the past.
And I do believe that there are a few that do believe that for the good of the earth, the USA should be abolished and a new concept of nations be created.
But I believe that the vast majority of our elected leaders want the best for our nation. They may disagree about how to achieve that, but I do not believe that we are about to be distroyed by those that have been elected.
This is why it is so important that we stay involved in the political process. We must express our thoughts to those leaders, and those who could become leaders. Most of all, we MUST VOTE!

I think you are being extremely naive about the nature of our government and the representatives that run it. The US federal government much more accurately resembles an oligarchy than a democracy.

Tell me that is not exactly the state of our republic right now. It does not require a nefarious organization to achieve this state of oligarchy either. Say what you will about republicans and democrats, they both hold one thing more important than any other and that is retaining the status quo and thus their seat at the reigns of power. Don’t fool yourself, they aren’t up there trying to “make the world a better place”. Anyone pursuing that end is summarily ostracized and sent packing in short order. The reason for this is apparent very quickly with a simple visit to Washington DC. It’s absolutely mind boggling how much wealth is diverted to the halls of power. The status quo means extreme wealth for those that play the game.
There’s really no other way for a government to play out. When you give a government the power to dictate over the citizens lives, you will always eventually have a powerful government suppressing the freedoms of its people. It doesn’t matter what political system you put in place either. A democracy without protection for the individual is nothing more than mob rule, which can be as oppressive as any other authoritarian government.
Sure you can vote (and I do as well, for third party and reform candidates), but you should realize just how strong the status quo bias is and that your vote is essentially meaningless. The whole electoral process is structured to maintain the binary, republican/democrat paradigm. It’s how a Congress with a 6% approval rating gets re-elected at a 94% rate. If your vote really counted, this would not be possible.
So, who is keeping this massive secret? How do they keep representatives (for example) from spilling the beans when they leave office? Are all the military leaders part of this scheme? And all the media must also be part of this destruction pact.
No, it doesn't, however, those without a religious belief are perhaps more likely to be evil. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and others come to mind.

It's already out in the open. Just look at where they are trying to take this country and We the People. Look at the legislation they pass. Look at their desire, plans, and actions aimed at disarming us. There are many factors that expose their ends. All the means they employ when viewed in total are toward only one logical end.
Look at all the agencies that have been created that are beyond the powers granted to the United States government in the Constitution.
We are on the precipice of becoming a dictatorial socialist/communist country, and the Constitution becoming nothing more than a single page in history.
There is no massive secret. There is only naiveté.

Did you not read my post? To maintain the oligarchy does not require a “secret” organization. Our representatives are self interested individuals like everyone else. It is in their collective best interest to maintain the power structure. Hell, everyone already knows how corrupt government and political parties are. So much so that it’s not even news to anyone anymore.
