A highway near you.
I had a guy lie to me about something while writing a ticket, then he complained to my department because I wrote the ticket based on what he told me.... he didn't realize I was trying to cut him a little slack and lied because he thought he could get out of it.... but that only made things worse for him oh well.

Agreed. The type of people we generally deal with will talk themselves into a handful a lot quicker than out of the one -- or the warning -- I was willing to let them skate with.

Press hard, you are making 5 copies .......... and have a nice day. :police2:

I've had some luck getting out of tickets when OHP pulls me over. When it's Moore PD, I don't even bother I just sit there quietly and say "Thank you" when he hands me my ticket. I must say it is very easy to pay tickets in Moore took about 2 minutes.

Has anyone ever received a warning from Moore PD?

If you get stopped, understand that a police officer has determined there is probable cause to stop you for a violation of the law. We aren't picking on you, just enforcing the laws and trying to make the streets safer for everyone. We do not make laws and we just enforce them. Be polite, it may get you off with a warning or it may not. Either way you probably deserved the citation. If not fight it out in court not on the side of the road.

A big +1K
It doesn't take a LEO to determine when most people are lying, so give it up and tell the truth.
Learned that when a wild child, and got stopped all the time.
Not the "child" now but have only been stopped once in about 30 years since...
still got a speeding ticket, but we talked about the laser on my CCW while he was writing me up.....no biggie...thats what I pay my taxes for...

NO - that doesn't happen... EVER. Been in SW OKC/ Moore area for almost 10 years now and have still never heard of a Moore cop issuing a warning. I love Moore but I do not want to be pulled over by the police here. I guess what they do works because I just drive like a little old lady when I'm in town now. I will say I have always been in impressed with their response time when I've called them too though, so at least they are tenacious ALL the time and not just when writing tickets.

I figured as much. I look at warnings as as luxury not a right. I know I screwed up so I deserve whatever punishment I get. I am glad to hear Moore PD is fast in everything else too. I always drive the speed limit in Moore, I got busted for expired registration, and I've seen co-workers get hit for speeding.
