If I were mounting an optic on a Victory I would have to go with a Striplin 90 degree mount and a C-More. The combo would run around $295.00, which is a little cheaper than the Alchin and FF combo. The dot should also sit a little a closer to the bore axis with the 90 degree mount which helps a good deal on a reflex sight...they seem to be easy to lose the higher they sit. That being said, I agree with Old Phart...the Ruger MK IV is probably the way to go.

I just can't adjust to the 90 degree mounts - the ones I've tried have blocked too much visual field and just "feel" off-balance. I've heard that Striplin also makes a straight mount but have never seen one to make any comment on it.

Back more on topic though - I've never been able to quite adjust to the Ruger's grip angle - it always seems like I have to angle my wrist forward/down to get the sights on target. The Victory seems to point much more naturally, for me anyway.

You're not the only one...I much prefer the grip angle and the stock fiber optic sights on the Victory.

I fondled a SW Victory at Big Boys today...was actually surprised at how it felt, considering the way it looks; it's grip kinda reminds me of the old SW 22A. But, I liked it...it's a toss-up for me though; I like the Ruger MK Series, the Ruger22/45, the Buckmarks, etc. I just likes me some .22 pistols! Don't know yet which will be my next purchase. Gotta wait for the Holidays to pass and see what goodies might be in my old stocking.

Picked one up about three weeks ago. Have run a little over 1300 rounds through it without a hitch, CCI standard velocity. The neatest thing is how easy it is to break down and reassemble after cleaning, really makes it nice. Accuracy seems decent enough for plates, which is the intended purpose for the spousal element. The aftermarket options are nice as stated above, everything form threaded barrels to "competition" barrels, grips and triggers. I guess only time will tell whether it goes the way of the .22A or not (factory recall). On a wonderful note, it brought the wife into the shooting game so that is a definite bonus!

Here's mine. It's quickly becoming my favorite toy. It's very accurate and I've had zero issues with it. I over paid a bit at Academy but my impatience got the best of me. Trigger from tandem Kross is en-route.
