Only read first two pages but note to self no facial tattoos. What if I got drunk in Thailand and ended up with a Mike Tyson tattoo? No more OSA I guess? I have met a few members that were very nice and very honest with full sleeve tattoos.

Right - and that is why, once I have direct knowledge of someone, the signs I use as guides before I know them personally fade in importance. However, if you look to me like you might be trouble I will be cautious until I know otherwise.

Everyone makes choices and lives with the consequences thereof, so if you choose to look or dress a way that is commonly seen as indicative of problem cases please don't cry "woe is me" when you get treated that way before you prove your sunny disposition and gentle ways. I have been told that I look like a "narc" so I expect certain folks to be apprehensive around me - so be it.

If you don't want people to think you're a thug and gangbanger then don't dress like one. If you want to emulate that lifestyle then don't get torqued when people think that's what you are. I have yet to meet anyone that dressed like a clown that wasn't one.

yukonjack, I've disagreed with you before, but you are spot-on with this one. If you dress for the part, don't be surprised when someone falls for your act.

Actually, I'm good with this. Only exception, I want a handgun license to give the purchaser a pass.

You want to be able to buy and sell with no restrictions, however people without a ccl should have to do an NICS check and pay more? Why cant everyone do it? I do not currently have a ccl, however I have gone through more background checks that most people on this board for the military and my job. Also who says that just because you have a ccl you are still not a felon or mentaly competient or do not have a protective order against you?

If you really want to solve the problem have a multi agency LEO group at the front door and you have to pass a quick criminal history/warrent check to get in.

You shouldn't be. Felons have records to prove their misdeeds. "Tyrants and collaborators"--well, jousting at windmills does have its uses.

Most felons are non-violent, and many have committed crimes that don't even have a victim. Tyrants and collaborators, by contrast, all advocate and promote the initiation of force against myself and others. It is clear to me which is the greatest danger. Record of misdeeds? It's called a voting record. By the "windmills" comment, are you seriously trying to say that people who want to use the power of the state to violate the rights of others aren't a real problem?!
