Harper and a couple of other morons decided to do another "audit" and parade through Nichols Hills while armed. I guess one of them is the head of some group called the Oklahoma Open Carry Association? Despite the "Oh Noes" drama from the residents, it's still a ridiculous stunt. If you don't live there, why are you staging an event there?

I remember back when open carry activists were trying push these types of events here on OSA. My position then and now is, if you don't live here and don't normally conduct business in my town, don't strap your pistol on just to come strut around.

I agree, Mr. Harper is just pandering for attention, but this excerpt from the KFOR story is bothersome:

“I can’t have my kids hanging out around some dude walking around with an assault rifle in our city!” a caller said.

We can do without that mindset, especially when they use the wildly inaccurate term “assault rifle.”

Don Spencer used to do a lot of 2A audits himself, I imagine the videos are still around, and IIRC he got this guy and others started.

I know if I’m somewhere and a dude walks in with an AR or AK I won’t draw, but I WILL position myself and prep for a draw. Doing this crap as an “audit” or for publicity, is not only bad for our 2A business, it’s just downright stupid.
