11B, I remeber those days. Just do your best, as fast as you can, keep you head down, and try to get everyone to work as a team and your training will be fine. Good luck!

And I'm sorry I know you have been working out like crazy but nothing with prepare you for Benning. It's the worst place in the world haha but when you make it threw your proud. My basic started with 500 people came out with 300 at graduation. Get ready to have sore feet I know youll love the 25 mile march on the ftx at the end of ait. Its a breeze.

Haha, ya I hear it's pretty crazy. I am just trying to get ahead of the game by working out as often as I have been. I am sure it will still be one hell of a challenge. No matter what I won't quit. The only way I am leaving without successfully completing OSUT will on a stretcher.

Shoulda joined the Corps! HAHA Just kidding man. Have fun and enjoy it while it lasts. I still miss it every single day. The most important part of boot camp is living meal to meal, sunday to sunday. Thats how ya know your getting through the days and the weeks. Best advice I ever recieved before I went.

btw dude, don't even bother pumping iron. Run, push ups, sit ups and pull ups is all you need to be doing. Run a LOT! Be warned, if you look like a PT stud when you go, they are going to screw with you. The big buff guys are prime targets bc they usually have the "i can take anything" attitude. The round browns start early on breaking those guys down and don't let up.

their goal is to break you down and build you up...endurance is the key for PT. even if you can do more on your first pt test or two you might play it up...the road marches are hell, best way to get through them on the long ones (like 25 miles grumble grumble grumble) is to get going and start thinking about something else and distract yourself.

prior service here as well - thank you for enlisting, keep your head down and be safe. stay alert stay alive.

Of course the most important part is to enjoy the training and have fun. There is a lot I'd love to go back and do again.

I don't lift a lot of weights, just one day a week. I do the P90x workout religously and it seems like that type of training could be pretty beneifical with the type of PT I'll be doing. I am definitely not trying to stick out or be the big buff guy at all. I am just doing anything I can before I leave so that I will score really well on the PT test. The unit I will be in after basic is going to have several slots open up for some Hoaah schools and me being able to go to them is really dependent on how well I do at basic.
