After I said a few days ago that I rarely see bucks with hanging velvet, this guy showed up and posed just to make a liar out of me.
Worked up a food plot today to get ready for planting. Put a trail cam on it to see what's going on. Feeder isn't loaded, but there are fresh tracks in the area with some resident does I'm sure.

it’s not a competition, but I may be the most excited and giddy man on planet earth right now!!!!! I get data sent from my trail cams each 12 o’clock hour. And todays noon notifications did NOT disappoint! I believe you can see 3 bucks in one of these pictures, one’s body is there in between the two visible bucks. But there is definitely a decent 8 point. I feel like screaming!!!!
Good looking bucks! I’m going to give you some advice based on the location of your camera. Don’t let any of those boys around there know that you’re from Oregon. I’d also start really working on an okie accent while standing in front of a mirror.
Edited to add: Don’t use the word giddy down there and definitely don’t scream in excitement.
