FB groups have been full of pics with deer having those in the last few weeks. I leave my cams out year around over the last three years I've seen two like that on cam, but only in the fall/winter. I shot a doe when I was a teen that had one about the size of a volleyball. It was full of liquid that looked like tea, and not pus like it was an abscess. Meat looked normal. Not really sure what it is.
Did you eat her?

I haven’t gone back to look for it, but I think there was a discussion earlier about a deer with a hematoma or tumor on the brisket. I’ve been watching this buck, and his is growing pretty fast. I suspect it’s an infection from a locust thorn.
