Don't shoot an unarmed man who isn't actively threatening you, and you won't get protested. Just sayin...

Don't refuse orders, and you won't get shot. Refusing orders, acting high as hell, then reaching into your passenger window while cops have guns pointed at you seems like a bad idea. Most normal people, when cops point guns at them, don't walk away and disobey orders.

Officers had other choices/tools to use for compliance besides hydrostatic shock. Like you said, no one wins here.

I agree. if cops weren't armed, they wouldn't be able to shoot guys on PCP who refuse orders and appear reach for potential weapons! savages!

Rear windows appear to be down. Back glass and rear side (fixed) windows are all heavy tinted but you can clearly see 2nd row seats without any glazing and better clarity than the driver's and passengers. Also if you start watching at 3:00 you can see the beam of the officer's flashlight reflect off of the rear seat and not a window.
