Longest beard I've ever seen on a hen. Tom and two hens came in, but the Tom didn't. Stayed just over the hill where all we could see was the top of his fan or the top of his head about 30y out. Beautiful morning.

My son and his buddy got the usual result at our place. First call and the bird will gobble once and lock up. They called very sparingly for an hour and then went mobile. Going mobile has been our only technique that has worked. It didn’t work for them yesterday though. They ended up bumping that bird and one other.

My oldest son and I went yesterday. We saw one Tom about 200 yards out, but we couldn’t get his attention. It was very windy. We’re going to try again in a few days.
