Interesting enough I use the Kickapoo Turnpike couple times a month. It’s definitely worth the buck or so to not have to drive through the 1-40 E thru Tinker war zone.
I use a turnpike on an almost daily basis. It’s either that or deal with the insanity that is driving on Tulsa’s surface streets.
I avoid the turnpikes like the plague. I'm not in that big of a hurry.
It's actually law, but the OTA-predecessors swindled verbiage "cross pledging" in the law to the tune of "as long as there is one toll road to be paid off, all toll roads shall collect." This is why OTA is continually building and proposing new roads.
OTA is corrupt as all hell.

well looks like I will use it less than I already do. The state gets enough of my money as it is....
What's blue about it? You can choose to not use the TP, thus not paying a dime.
About the only time I use one now is if I'm headed to north side of OKC/Edmond area. Coming in from the west like I do, it helps me avoid everything east of Yukon on 40.
