Those homophones sure are confusing.

Last thing my FFL told me was to not order too many guns in a short period of time as it puts a flag out for sombody to come ask you why.

When you buy more than one handgun at once, your FFL has to file a Multi Gun Purchase Form and fax it to the ATF.This does not apply to long guns.

Looks like were suppling all the guns in the world to all the terrorist, again.

I certainly hope so. It would fit with my philosophy of supplying everyone with firearms and unlimited ammo in preparation for The Great Shootout. Hell, someone needs to make a profit on this stuff. Might as well be us.

Just wait until the microstamping kicks in. That'll stop the cartels. :bah:

I think it's interesting how the media fails to mention that Mexico disarmed their citizens in the past....now the criminals are in charge and the goverment is in bed with them.

But....no. It's not any people's fault. It's those evil black rifles.

Its our fault. 80% of 90,000 weapons were brought over from the USA per the article. So thats 72,000 weapons, where's the other 18,000 coming from. Probally the same place as the rest gun brokers from Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba. Its amazing how everything is our fault, blame it on America, its the easy way out.

I haven't been to a gun show in a while but from what I've heard those drug cartels are all over the place buying everything in sight. I'll bet you they're buying everything off the classifieds here too. We are all very much part of the problem.

It is a shame that the Mexican government did such a fine job of disarming their citizens only to have us supply their cartels with weapons otherwise unavailable in Mexico. I think maybe their president should come back to the US and lecture us again on how we need to solve their drug problem and stop worrying about illegal immigration. We obviously weren't listening the first time.

Has anyone actually done a definitive study of the origins of the arms in Mexico?

Reports like this always rely on weasel words, like "of all the guns submitted to the ATF for tracing 90% of guns that could be traced were traced to US gun shops." (How many total seized cartel guns were submitted to ATF? How many of those could be traced?)

Meanwhile, stuff from pro-gun organizations and conservatives just points out the weasel words in the official reports without offering competing data, although now that we have a Republican majority in the House there may be more of a push at the government level to get official figures.

I'm not saying good numbers aren't out there, just that I haven't seen them.

These people that wrote this article or influenced the article don't truly believe this. They do know however, that this may be an acceptable reason to many American's for stricter gun laws.

ie, it'll get the intended result of more gun regulation/confiscation.

C'mon people, these people parroting this stuff aren't that stupid. They know exactly what they are doing and use whatever reason they can come up with to regulate our rights. It's just another tactic. And the stupid American's that are anti-gun anyway, just soak this propaganda up like a new sponge.

When folks realize that there is a conscience effort to disarm us by our own government these "stories" will start making a lot more sense.
