USPS strikes again..

Apparently being a logistics coordinator at USPS is so easy a caveman can do it... or they get paid for miles traveled per item.

I guess I’m just fortunate to have very good service most of the time. Here’s a camera I puchased on Friday morning. The seller is in California and sent it Priority Mail Friday afternoon. It’s out for delivery this morning.

Lately everything seems to be held up at the TULSA OK DISTRIBUTION CENTER and there it sits for several days before moving on to the actual local post office.

Stellar service here in Edmond. Mailed package Saturday to Indiana and it’s out for delivery today. Had one mailed to me Friday from Michigan showing out for delivery today. The one coming today is going right back out to CA. Camera and lens trading/buying/selling hobby is going pretty good. I occasionally get the neighbors mail but pretty decent overall.

I've never felt Informed Delivery was reliable. Lately it seems worse than usual. Every day for the past 5 days we've had the morning ID email that shows what we should expect today and in the next few days. It's been wrong every single day.

Today it's showing one package that was delivered (and shows delivered on the USPS website tracking tool) 3 days ago as having an unknown delivery date. Another package shows "out for delivery" and it was delivered 2 days ago. Lots of inconsistencies like that.

And regular mail...forget it. It's always hit or miss on whether we'll get what the email shows on the day it's supposed to be delivered.

The USPS would be a great place for the efficiency gurus to start.

I said it before, it’s the worst ran government agency in the United States. No one there gives a damn about getting the mail where it’s supposed to go and zero accountability.

I've never felt Informed Delivery was reliable

My experience has been that it’s very reliable, so I’m guessing that comes down to your local PO getting it in gear and getting stuff done.

Their tracking system, on the other hand, is about as useless as teats on a boar. It’s occasionally useful for telling you what route your “mail piece” took, but I don’t recall it ever being particularly useful for telling where it is while it’s in transit.
