Vote NO!!

what in the world does what other states spend have to do with us in Oklahoma? For instance cost of living is completely different in say Denver VS OKC. which traditionally has the lowest cost of living for major metro in the nation. Tulsa is right behind at #2 lowest cost of living. yes the $$ goes further in OKC and Tulsa.

don't believe me... look up what a starter home costs in OKC/Tulsa vs say Denver, which could be 2x+ higher $$.

if the schools need more funds... put it to a vote of the people.

hate to point out the obvious ... look at where a major chunk of needed funds are going to. NEW construction for elementary schools.

look at the fastest growing sector for public education. children from illegal immigrants, which includes Anchor babies. Pregnant women smuggled into the US specifically to give birth. That anchor baby becomes an American citizen with ALL rights. including the right to an education in our public schools.

if you want to fix the problem of a lack of funding in our public schools. the fundamental issue of anchor babies which automatically become US citizens has to be resolved.

just to make sure there is NO misunderstanding.
I'm not against immigrants.... as 98%+ of everyone in America is either an immigrant and/or descendant of an immigrant.

I'm against illegal immigrants....

One clarification, most often buildings come out of bond money....not the general fund and bond money cannot be used for general fund items....i.e. salaries. That's how Stillwater can have a nice big football stadium and still barely be scraping by day to day.

Schools are also encouraged to stay in debt via bonds and other credit sources.

If a school has a certain amount of its available credit tied up (I want to say 80%, but don't feel like looking for the statute at the moment), they are exempt from certain mandates such as class sizes.

Get off my lawn.
Don't let the politicians convince you we can't afford it. Yes We CAN. It's time to take money from the special interests and make schools our special interest.

I hope that kid in that commercial realizes what he did when he is older and punches himself in the face.

Notice how both sides in any political debate refer to the other side "pandering to special interests"?

I loathe the phrase "special interests"
