Well, if Nazi Germany is a parallel here, Hitler had a plan for that. When consolidating power, he went to the Army first. The Army had a long list of grievances and a big dislike for Hitler. All he had to do is promise the Army general staff that he'd make all their dreams come true. Budget? No problem. Troop levels? Whatever. Policy input? Done. In one meeting, Hitler made enough promises that made the Army fall right in line.
Given our president's skill at buying support, do you think the Pentagon would be any different? Now, a lot of active duty servicemen would leave the service in protest. But, Obama will not have to worry about Pentagon loyalties once he's bought it with goodies.

But if as I expect it is the economy collapsing that causes the problems, DOHbama is not going to be paying them or buying them new equipment. He will be having a hard enough time feeding them.
