I've put out some deer corn the past 2 days because of the coming weather. The current conditions are probably going to keep me from doing it this afternoon. The local deer and birds have appreciated what I have done, however.

I'll admit, I'm a wuss, especially compared to guys like @Powerman620 and other freaking HEROES of modern life. I got no shame in that.
I just got back from getting some more cold weather gear out of my storage unit. The drifts between the buildings were 2 feet deep.
The big one is coming!
For the OKC area, KOCO, Lane and Conger are saying heavy snow coming in around 4:00 and 6:00 pm, and then continuing overnight. Windchills around -20, single digit temps. Just another day in paradise.
9:00AM: Light snow falling out right now, very light. We shall see.
The snow is blowing sideways here at the Seminole/Hughes county line. Has been since yesterday morning. Nice and powdery so it should have decent traction and won't make too big of a mess when it goes away.
But yeah, I too heard the main event is coming tonight/tomorrow. Thats about right. My father in law's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday. We'll see what happens.

My 2¢ ... Some weathermen (not all) are failed high school drama queens and try to sell weather for more than what it is.
You gotta admit that they do better with tornadoes than with winter weather. The coverage they give us during peak tornado season has no doubt saved lives.
Watched our neighbor hope in the car wearing shorts and a tshirt... didn’t even take cold weather gear....
