In regard to the “receipt nazi”, my daughter was in Lowe’s recently, when there were several people yelling “Stop”.

A fine gentleman was happily following a new generator out the door, and the only action available to the employees was to yell stop.

Knowing that there is someone that is going to want to see a receipt has probably deterred more than a couple of instances of shoplifting. A slight inconvenience at times, but likely has an effect on price increases. Someone has to pay for the goods exiting the store.

I am surprised they still stock the shelves. They don't staff the checkout lines. They could put bar code readers on the cart and you scan items you put in the cart. Scan it again if you decide to not get it and it could map where you left it for the next person. Number the pallets and the device on the cart could tell you what pallet number you needed to dig through.

It's coming... doesn't Sam's already do the self-scan thing? So do Amazon grocery stores?

Yeah, automated and computer/video monitoring is the future of "shopping". Service is a thing of the past in most industries these days.

Yes Sams is doing it with their app. Only time I go through a line is for alcohol or electronic purchases.

I don’t go in Wal Mart unless I absolutely have to.

Using the app to scan and go at Sam's Club is awesome. We haven't used a checkout lane there in a couple of years.

I won’t even consider buying a gun or anything related to one at a Walmart. I go there for groceries and that’s it. They have some things I need that other grocery stores don’t have.

Wish our membership was free . . . been paying for it since 1995.
