Walmart .22's: Opinions please

I was looking at a scoped 597 at WM last night for $177. I may go back today and get it. The ugly gray stock needs a repaint....

The guns you purchase at wally world are the same quality firearm anyone else has, only diff is a cheaper grade of wood, thats because wally world holds the gun manufacturers hostage by saying sell me x many at this cost or ill go elsewhere so the manufactures use a lower grade wood to meet the cost

Don't split hairs, either 10/22 or the 60 and you will be happy. If you dont like mags go with the 60. If you like options than the 10/22.

I have been tempted to pick up a synthetic stock mossberg plinkster. $117 is cheap enough for a toss around throw away gun.

I still have my Marlin 60 that I got when I was a Kid it is almost 25 years old know and has had thousands of rounds through it with no problems. You can beat this gun hard enough. I love mine

Henry......No Mags, S/L/LR and Collibri capable, Liquid Smooth, Very Little Cleaning Required.....IMHO
