Very sorry to hear about your loss @Hawgman. My prayers will be with you and your family.

Regarding the show, what gun money I had left, I spent this past weekend on non-gun stuff. Maybe if someone wants to give me a whole bunch of money at the show for my Glock 17L, I can find something that I can bring home. I searched and searched for a good 17L and finally found one a few months ago. I'm only the 2nd owner, and the first owner (co-workers uncle) only put 2 magazines through it. The funny thing is now that I have one, I don't want to shoot it. It's almost in too good of condition. It's an uncommon Glock, but Glock nonetheless. I figure if I needed a safe queen, I could've gone in a different direction. I either need to shoot it or sell it and get something else. Still on the fence on which direction I should go.

Do you think a decent price can be found at the show for a very good condition, but not NIB, Glock 17L? I know what I paid for it, and I got it at a heck of a bargain. I'm not even sure what they normally would sell for.

Man I've bought and sold stuff before even getting in the door... people will come by while you're in line looking at what you got... I've never made a deal I regret... just keep on moving if you can't get whatcha want... I carried an 870 for the entire show and finally sold it a older private collector towards the end of the day for my asking price... paid $50 for it and made a bundle!

A friend and I were going to get a table this year, but we decided against it. My friend still wants to come up and walk around on Saturday, but I had much rather go to my place and hunt morels. Being around that many people really doesn’t appeal to me at all.

Although it’s not currently in my possession, it’s sitting in my stepfather‘s safe, I really enjoy shooting my 34 as well.

I think that will do it for me. I’ll probably sell that 17L at the show then. Not going to use it for GSSF, and I love my 34 so I think it’s pretty obvious at this point.

maybe I can walk around the show with one of those flags duck taped to my back advertising what I have for sale!

If your older than 18, you cannot use a long slide in GSSF competition. I have had a few 17L’s. One had a 12in barrel in it. Was a hoot to pull it out!
