I used it as well for many years, but did find out that it gets real thick around zero temperatures. Semi auto pistols don't cycle well.

Most of the new synthetics stay pretty fluid at those temps these days, but when we hunted in near-zero weather back in the day, we ended up with using dry graphite as a lube. For the record it was Ruger Mark II pistols in .22rf hunting rabbits behind beagles.
I had a browning a bolt freeze up on me once. It’s never good
Really light recoil springs in .22, so any thickening at all will slow them down. They always cycled, but it was really slow. Rapid fire not possible.
