Hobart is just a Miller with more plastic parts. Should be an alright machine.

I’ve been welding for almost 10 years and I’ve still never welded with flux core. Done everything else but that.

Looks like it's been around the block so I might suggest a new liner and feed rollers so you can't blame the machine....

He was a hobbie‘st knife maker. It was only used to weld billets for Damascus. Bought it new and not a lot of use. He guessed less than 40 hours. It is dusty.

Don’t forget to get new tips

It comes as complete as can be. That bottom compartment is chocked full of boxes of varying tips, more line lube, line felts etc etc. And numerous claims, vise grip clamps, magnets etc etc. Gloves, jacket.

The little machine I sold swamprat could weld both. Inside I liked the gas.

Never mig welded either. Still have my Miller 220 AC/DC. Always wanted a tig though. Got to do some of that on the job several years ago and it just kind of came naturally.

I still have a 1949 Lincoln Cracker Box that has a continual duty cycle Copper Wound. It can run Jet Rod all day long.

75/25 gas for wire. the 25% argon wets your base metal much better than straight co2. Other mixes are available But 75/25 will do everything.
Oh heck yeah have fun that's a good little machine.

Thanks. So flux core wire and non flux with gas takes a different positive/negative change?
