Went to the State Fair today

I went on the $2 day. It rained. We wore our fancy gortex. There is a free European, one ring, old time circus near the north gate. Best little circus show I've ever seen. If you do nothing else but eat corn and fried things, go see the free show. I laughed SO hard I nearly cried.

We went to the fair today and made a little money doing the Dodge truck "RIDE ALONG." It would have been much better if you could drive them. Not sure why they are being so safe now. I have driven Toyota's two times before. Anyway, $10 walmart gift card just for riding along!

Corn Dogs are still the bomb. I suggest you stay away from the Cinnamon Rolls. I have not had one if a few years and it was a big let down. They used to be so ooey, gooey and delicious. Now, it just tastes like a bunch of bread with a little cinnamon.

I'm going to go when it hits Tulsa and make a beeline to the big sloppy burger with the donut for a bun. Then I'm going to hit the $5 ribeye sammich place. Corn dogs, turkey legs, roasted corn, and on and on and on...

Seriously, they are gonna have to roll me out of the place with all of the fair food I plan to consume. I'll look like Templeton Rat by the time it's over, all hopped up on lemonade and pineapple whip slathered down my bib.

Once in the fair we spent more then i really wanted too.

I did get to do Pull ups for the Marine recruiters. If anyone goes back let me know if my 34 is on the board.

The Marines had their pull-up bar set up at the Tulsa Fair when I was there this afternoon. It's been a couple years since I stopped doing pull-ups at which time I could manage 25 in a row; today, I eked out 10 before stopping. The Marine manning the booth said the record so far was 19, with most fair-goers managing 4 or 5 pull-ups. So I felt pretty good, and got a knit Marine cap instead of the embroidered lanyard they were handing out to the lesser mortals

It's been four years since my wife said "never again." Much to my disappointment, she seems to have gotten over that. I'm not sure our son has...

I got out of it tonight because of OSU-UT, but my day is coming, soon.

I really don't mind going. I just mind having to stay...
