Regardless, unless this guy won the powerball and has tens of millions in the bank, $4 million is an 8th Amendment violation and shouldn’t stand.

Disagreed the 8th Amendment doesn't apply , as its about disproportionate punishment. Setting the bail at 4 million may apperar excessive , but my guess is there is something to make the judge think this guy is a flight risk but not punishment as he has not been convicted yet . His defense is going to have a hard job getting the bail reduced based on what has been televised so far

But in post 249 you say it’s reasonable to assume the dead guy is still a threat??
