Cohiba, I'm going to trust you the next time i go to the liquor store. for a cheap mixer that isn't all that bad i like Kentucky Tavern and Evan Williams. word to the wise never try Kentucky Tavern as a shot, oh good god it's awful by itself.
For a mixer I use usually Weller's 107, or if I'm out I use Elijah Craig.
Started reading a new e-book tonight while sitting at the Chiminea. What a great evening. Finally got too cool on my back and came in to enjoy some 4 roses single barrel I'd picked up awhile back, and hadn't tried yet.
Great choice. Its pretty smooth with some back flavors. My pallete is not up to determining what they are, but they worked and that's all I'm interested in.

Yup, 4 Roses is good stuff. I was turned on to it from this thread, as well. The Single Barrel and the Small Batch are both worth trying.

Every time we go to the lake place I think I'm going to sit on the deck, read a book and drink a beer (don't do the hard stuff). And every time something comes up. Need to learn to prioritize better.
Kids, I still have kids in the house so they dictate allot. I go to the lake to relax and end up pulling kids on the tubes or skis. Maybe when they are all out of the house I can read a book again. But, I ain't in no hurry for them to leave. lol
I'm a book reader. Have been ever since I was a kid. Mom would tell me to close the book and go outside to play after she got tired of watching me at the couch with a book in my lap. The thicker the novel the better.
