Loaded around 50 rds of 10mm for testing. Some with large pistol primers, some with large mag primers, various weights of CFE Pistol and 800X under 200 gr Hornady XTP. Then loaded a few rounds with 800X under some 180 gr XTP’s. Going to test them tomorrow and see what velocities I’m getting.

Loaded 22 rds of my pet load for my Springfield Saint carbon fiber 308 a few weeks ago but got out and shot them today. 22 rds at 100yds with no rest/cool down between shots. Kept all 22 shots under 1” group. Load is:

Fed brass
Win LRP
41.3 gr of H4895
Hornady 178 gr ELD-X
COAL = 2.86
Lee factory crimp
Avg velocity = 2575 fps

Dang, how do you find the time to get so much done!?
It was in the way of my new rabbit hole of learning how to tie flies.
I will have a dedicated area on another bench for that hobby so my reloading bench can remain cluttered without the need to put anything up in the future.:laugh6:

Is that an old 450 in second picture? I had one years ago that was a barn find. It was rusty and beat up but I got it fixed up and made a lot of ammo on it. Mine required manual cycling of the primer slide and the powder bar. The 450 was a good press but a pain to change caliber. if I still had it I would set it up for one caliber and leave it.

Yes sir. Good eyes. My original 450 from way back when. I used to load everything on that. Rifle and pistol, or handled it all. Then I met a woman that likes to shoot as much as I do, if not more so the first 650 was bought. Then the second 650 for lpp.

Sent the 450 in for rebuild. Dillon sent it back with an updated powder measure and primer feed, now I only have to rotate the shell plate to the next station. It’s brand new since they rebuilt it. Cost? Zero. They even sent me a shipping label to return it for the rebuild…

Hard to beat a company like that.

Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 to all.

This is getting depressing

I almost have everything, except the bench, moved. I am well stocked with components. Loaded ammo supplies are depressing.
Then I remember, thanks to the Fauci biohazard, I have only managed to prime 250 rounds of brass .410 and set up new reloading room, in the last 14 months.

I moved an old dresser in, to set up as bench. Don't think the old one can be gotten out of the closet I was using.

My new RCBS ChargeMaster should be delivered tomorrow. That should inspire me to get finished moving and start loading.

Not today but a couple days ago I made 50 rounds of 9 on my Lee classic cast press.
Made 25 rounds of plinking .223 55 v max and Ball c 2 for a buddy and made 25 rounds of accurate ammo for him with H4895.
Made 20 rounds of 110 gr SP for 30-06

Will go shopping in a bit and return and make more .223 for my bolt gun.
Got the deer jerky in the homemade smoker this morning.
Not in the reloading room :)

I went out this morning and got some 200 yard and 300 yard dope with the 23 remaining rounds of this 165 SST load. Another win for Strelok Pro.

Could barely see the steel at 300, but I hit it!
