Loaded and shot 5 whopping rounds today. Just wanted to take a load that was proven at 100 out to a touch of distance.

5 @ 300 (1.45"). It shot in the .4s at 100, so this is proof enough to me that it will hold together atmid-range.

Had the whole place to myself this afternoon.

Loaded (25) 6.5 Grendel rounds to test the 108gr Scenar and N133.

Loaded (35) 6.5x47 rounds with the 120gr Scenar-L for general use, and then another (15) rounds of the 130gr ELD-M for final seating depth testing for my second 6.5x47L.

Loaded another (15) rounds of 123gr Scenar and Varget for my first 6.5x47.

Finally, I loaded (15) rounds of a quick charge weight test for a .308 as I had to switch to a new lot of Varget.

***I did shoot my last "decent" Grendel load at a touch of distance the other day. It shot a half-inch at 100 during initial testing...so I wanted to see if it would hold together further out. It did not really, throwing a ~.9 MOA group at 250. Fine for plinking, but back to the drawing board for precision.

Ran 4 different 5 shot groups @40.9 grains of H4350 in a seating depth test. All 4 produced pretty decent SD's (all below 10). Groups were so so inchish or better except for the shortest COAL jumping .072". SD of 6.1 with a group right at .5".

Loaded 10 of that and 10 jumping .062" that had an SD of 3.4. 5 each at 100 and 200

Did you adjust parallax on the scope when you shot at that longer distance.

And did you adjust it and move your eye position side to side and up and down slightly while looking through the scope and make absolutely sure it was set spot on?

I am sure you probably did but just mentioning it.

My scopes with Parallax settings are not marked where they should be.
100 yard mark is never exactly parallax free at 100 I have to "fine tune" it.

I made some H335 loads in 5.56/.223 and found in the 16" barrel there is a lot of fireball and loud report :)
Trying to come up with a load that works well in 16" 5.56 1:7 twist AR and my 22" 1:9 bolt gun with 50 gr V-max.

Benchmark did very well and yesterday at the range H335 at 25.5gr did well.

Loaded 50 rounds for my wife's 7mm TCU and 50 rounds for my 375 H&H.

Got in a couple hundred pounds of steel shot and several thousand steel shot wads yesterday, getting ready to start loading up some steel shot loads for this year's waterfowl season. 👍
I’ve never loaded steel shot, and I’m curious to know how much cost savings there is in rolling your own. No more than I duck hunt, I really don’t need to go down that rabbit hole, but I love loading shotgun ammo.
