What ever it takes to get all the people out of Home Depot that are supposed to be "safe at home" but it is perfectly OK to drag 4 generations of family to HD.
I know I am being somewhat of an ass but apparently you can spread the virus at your place of work or at school/college but not at the lumber store!!
Right or wrong, I am of the opinion that "at risk" people should have stayed at home and the rest should have protected themselves and went the hell to work !! The whole shelter at home thing is a joke............... Sorry ,I ramble but this shutdown has been over done and largely turned into a fiasco.
Excuse me but really? Would you have made that same call at the beginning of this pandemic? Hindsight...

No, but 2 days after it went into effect and I started seeing the flocks of people at the lumber stores I decided the shutdown was a joke. I have been out in it every day (construction) and like I said shelter at home is a joke.
.Gov tells every one stay home unless you are essential but go ahead and go spread your germs at Home Depot cause the essential workers there can't catch your bug!! Pretty silly . And I already said I know I am being somewhat of an ass!

After a couple of weeks of this deal, and when I drove through Enid and Woodward and saw how full the parking lots were at Walmart, Lowes, Atwoods and every grocery store, I thought to myself... "in 14 days everyone in those people could/should test positive if it's as bad as they say"...................that time has come and gone and those parking lots look like Christmas eve shoppers every day now. Positive cases pretty much nonexistent, hospitalizations even less. Restaurants, barbers, hair dressers are just taking a great big kick in the nuts every day in OK now imo. Feel terrible for them.

And I can be an ass if I want.............. I am good at it!
Heck, we can all be a$$s. But at least you were honest enough to answer my question with a no that you wouldn't of had that same opinion when this damn crap started and I can appreciate your stance now. All I know is I'm trying my best to do what was asked. In the end that's all anyone with half a conscience or a lick a sense should be doing right now.

"Opening it back up" means people are once again able to earn a living. This is vital but "work" as well as other aspects of life are going to be restructured to varying extents. If the virus undergoes yearly mutations and we cannot develop resistance to it or effective drugs, we are going to see a future that looks like something out of a science fiction writer's imagination. Let's hope not.

Personally, Open it back up means people go back to work. The oil patch makes some money which is almost impossible because of Saudi's pissing match with Moscow and the fact that the Saudis want to destroy our oil and gas energy so bad that it will take years and years to recover. They have proved they can. The only way to save it is to take the US out of the international petroleum market and create a domestic market to keep the drillers and producers on the job.
Petroleum is the backbone of this countries economy, be it gas, diesel, Natural gas or whatever.
We fuel our truckers that are the lifeblood of keeping us fed and supplied with goods, we generate clean energy with natural gas and heat our homes with it.
Take away petroleum and this country dies a quick death.
Agriculture is another lifeblood of our country. If their product can't get to market though, it goes to waste and people starve. How do they grow it and get it to market?
Petroleum and truckers.
Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot, Homeland, Safeway etc would fold in a week without truckers and their fuel along with energy to keep our food frozen or cool. No need to have social distancing, they would be vacant buildings.
Open it back up to the individual IMHO means going back to work with new rules for now. You don't meet in the lunchroom to play cards anymore. You eat in place using an old fashioned lunch box brought from home, and go back to work.
Personally I could care less for professional sporting events, but I do understand its importance to some for entertainment although this lack of it has not brought a single evidence of suicide to anyone not able to see the Masters or the NBA.
Let em play in an empty stadium. If you like it well enough you'll fork out some bucks for a pay to play just cheaper than a season ticket, and the network that produces it can insert crowd noises.
Manufacturing has to move their product to markets to open back up. How? Of course it's by trucks, trains and airplanes all powered by petroleum.
Meanwhile we have politicians like AOC enjoying the fall of the petroleum industry in their quest to "save the planet" from petroleum.
