I guess I am just simple minded but I would never have thought to deceive anyone like that. How do people think of things like that? So if this is true and the get away with fraud. The get your gun and you have a felony record and my get to go to jail? Holy smoly

I would hope not! I had a gun stolen, I hope to get it back sometime in the future.

Me, too! It's been about 5 years now. I don't know where the hell I came up with that and all of our local LE's didn't know (including myself). Hell, I can't even run the OLETS terminal. I watch the dispatchers do it and it just reminds me of a typical state-based software system... Overly complicated. I guess they have job security, cause I'm not going to take the time to figure it out. We don't have laptops in all of our vehicles in my neck of the woods and I don't want it! The radio works just fine! Lol

I had a shotgun stolen in 1989 in Ponca City. Every year they call me to see if it has been recovered so they can update the file. Some day it may get the serial number ran and will show as stolen.

I actually have had a stolen gun returned.
But I had long since written it off.
They found it laying on a roadside in Seminole Co.
Rusted up some.
I was able to clean it up and it's useable, but seriously ugly now.
