Pretty sure Lightning is right, spitting spider.

Harmless, unfortunately for them they resemble fiddlebacks.

Spraying doesn't directly kill the spiders, but you can kill their food source.

We have the glue boards scattered around the house, under furniture, in closets, etc. very effective control of spiders and other crawling insects.

I believe that's a Betterofficus Deadicus, genus Stompit Intobutter.
