Yep! Or Oats. Both are great till you get your grass going next spring! When I built pond dams late in the year, I would sow in oats or rye on the dams to abide them over till spring.

Yeah, I wanted Bermuda grass, as that is what my most of my property is. But I see it is not a good winter starter.
Someone needs to come up with a full auto airgun that feeds from a hopper and shoots Bermuda seed into the ground.Of you have good Bermuda on your place, start early in Spring and start plugging! It will take off!
