Im glad! I dont consider this wear as acceptable in a 2k dollar knife, nor is the blanket statement "its fine", and an unwillingness to look at it as ok. Its not a very good knife, but thats on me, as i bought it not thinking about the funky blade or rediculous thickness.
Is that a full size or a mini?
Think I’ll wear my 1890s “Robeson Germany” that I found buried in the side of a mountain in the Wichita National Wildlife Sanctuary about 30 years ago. It was encrusted in rust, and the leather and aluminum ring handle had completely rotted to the point where they crumbled away when I touched it. The blade has character as it’s pitted, but it cleaned up well and holds a razors edge.

I actually carried the khaki version on the anniversary.
Opinels generally aren't my thing (nothing against them, they just don't trip my trigger), but these two knives are cool. Their blades are stainless steel (unspecified variety, just stamped INOX), and both the blade and Virobloc (locking ring) are done in PVD, so it almost looks like they're blued.
Opinel only made 1944 in each of the two colors, and the blades are stamped No.XXXX/1944 to reflect that.

Got the holiday off today. 
Carrying kinda light, just hangin' around the house. Case Sod Buster Jr. (thanks Jimmy!) in a Hitch and Timber leather slip along with an Olight i3e flashlight.
Got me grandsons hooked up with a daily carry. Eli is 13 but little Will is just 6, so he'll hafta wait a few years to get his.
Eli's is the green Soddy with the red Microstream and black fisher space pen in the Evergreen Hitch and Timber slip.
Will's favorite color is orange, so I got him an orange Soddy along with a black Microstream and chrome fisher space pen in a Gray Moon Hitch and Timber slip.
