My first car was 1956 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop with a 265 cu in engine with dual quads stock from the factory with a power glide 2 speed automatic transmission. I put a 4:56 posi traction rear end in and that thing would scoot. Bought it in 1960 from a school teacher and drove it for years wish l still had it.

My second car was a 1962 Corvette my parents gave me for graduation from high school. It was a 360 hp fuel injected 327 cu in with a 4 speed and a 3:08 posi traction rear end which got changed out to a 3:70 posi traction rear end. We picked it up the first of October 1961 and my dad had a massive heart attack and died on Halloween. He never got to enjoy it that much.

1969 GTO Jugde, got it from my dipstick older brother who had it painted white ?? It was the fastest car in my hometown until I outran a couple of the rich kids then they spent money to build faster cars, I was happy to be able to get around in a car instead of walking so I quit racing it and try to take care of it, I wish I still had it !

This was my great grandpa's last vehicle, even the same color! Drove it until he was 98 or 99 years old.
I purchased the 1950 Plymouth from a retired teacher for $50.00. It had 50,000 miles on it when I purchased it at the age of 14. It had three on the tree and a flat head 6 cylinder engine. Sold it when I was 15 1/2 a purchased a 1959 2-door Ford station wagon, which was great for taking gals to the drive-in movies. That Ford blew a head gasket, so I sold it to a neighbor kid's dad and purchased a 1965 Pontiac GTO. Wish I had kept the GTO.

1966 Malibu 2-door with a 283 and 3spd on the column. We were still driving it when my wife was pregnant with our first. If you weren't careful, the shifter would hang up between 2nd and 3rd. Of course, it would hang up when she was driving it! She knew exactly what to do to straighten it out, but she got tired of rocking on her belly over the fender to untangle the shifter!
