1963 Pontiac Station Wagon cost me 300.00
Due to going in the Army young and then working overseas for several years I never had a U.S. drivers license or owned a vehicle here in the U.S. till I was 25 yrs. old.
I got my first drivers license and purchased my very first vehicle in Purcell, Okla. after returning from working in VN in early 75'.
Knowing that it was only a matter of time till I'd be headed back across the pond I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a big fancy car and then take a big loss on it when I left.....so my first vehicle was a used 1971 3 speed automatic orange 4 door Datsun 510 and I kept it till I went back overseas in early 77'.
Can't remember how many miles it had on it when I purchased it but I put quite a few miles on it and it never gave me a bit of trouble.

I had a 77. Swivel front bucket seats, ran like a top. But my first was a 1964 F100 SWB.
223 straight 6 with 3 on the tree. Almost as slick as the one in this picture. Damn I wish I had that truck back.
