I would have to say my number 1 is my ~1980 Ruger M77 in .284. It was given to me by my father as my first hunting rifle. I had the choic between that or a Remington 770 in .270. It is a gun that I will never sell, and is worth way more to me because of him holding on to it to give to me or my brother than any dollar amount! Thanks Dad!
My second would be my S&W M&P .40 l, because it was the first gun that I bought for myself.
May I add a 2nd Favorite since the last one was a handgun? ...
This is my 'Large Toy' - Had it for a couple of years and Ron has one also. He does all of the reloading and we just have a lot of fun shooting them. They are Bohica 50BMG Single shots with 30" Barrels and PRS Stocks. The most fun is introducing family and friends to the 'Club' after they take their first shot. 'Everyone' seems to have that '50 Caliber Grin' after shooting. It 'does not' hurt - just sort of gives you a shove! I added video links of some of the Family shooting it .... Enjoy!!!
Nothing as cool as everyone is posting, I will probably get bashed , mine is my first real purchase my Taurus 1911 AR that has been tweaked by a gun smith. Next would be my Ruger SP 101 SS in 9mm don't see those very often.
I also have a Ruger 308 RSI. It was my first deer/ varmint rifle I got when I was 13. It has killed a ton of deer and my father used it to take a black bear years ago. It drifts between my safe and my father's. If you put truth serum in him he would probably say its his favorite one also. I usually get it back in the spring to clean up and store/site in. It then makes its way to his house opening weekend of rifle and stays there through the winter (for coyotes).
