Probably my most prized would be my Winchester 101 12 gauge that my Dad bought used for me when I was in high school. That would have been 46 years ago. Hand guns would be a Colt Commando that was brought back from WWII by my wife's grand dad.

Marlin 22.jpgMarlin 30-30.jpgS&W Grandpa.jpg

I've got a few;
1.) Marlin lever-action 22 rifle that my dad finally passed down to me about 5 years ago. I used to sneak this out of the house to shoot squirrels, rabbit, cans, etc when I was a boy. I could light a match with this thing at 100 yards don't ya know!!
2.) Marlin Lever-action 30-30. This belonged to my grandpa (mothers side). This man was my hero and my inspiration. He literally taught me everything I know about hunting, fishing and being a man. He approached me when I was in my mid-twenties and asked me to take this gun. This was a BIG deal.....there were 10 grandsons and we ALL wanted it. In private, he told me that HE wanted me to have it because I was the only one he could trust to keep it and not sell it. I don't have son's, but this rifle will be passed on to one of my daughters or one of their sons, god willing.
3.) S&W Revolver - This gun belonged to my grandpa (Fathers side). This was his service pistol and used to win several law enforcement matches. He carried it while on the Modesto Sherrifs department and again in several Oklahoma sheriff roles. Don't think he ever shot at or anyone with it....but, I do know the butt has smashed lots of noggins!!!

I've got several that will never be for sale. A Winchester 1897 that my moms great grandfather bought new. A Winchester pump 22 bought new during the depression by him also. A Winchester 94 22 mag still new in the box and unfired. A browning a-5 sweet 16 unfired and in box. And a pre 64 (1950) Winchester mdl 70 .220 swift. And the several I just got from my dads estate. All have family history.

I would have to say my number 1 is my ~1980 Ruger M77 in .284. It was given to me by my father as my first hunting rifle. I had the choic between that or a Remington 770 in .270. It is a gun that I will never sell, and is worth way more to me because of him holding on to it to give to me or my brother than any dollar amount! Thanks Dad!

My second would be my S&W M&P .40 l, because it was the first gun that I bought for myself.

It's a beautiful classic rifle that will last a lifetime and a tack driver to boot! Many memories of your first doe, several nice bucks over the years and a recent nice antelope buck in WY - most all one shot kills. Glad it means more than $ to you.

I have a few that are very important to me for different reasons. First would be my Winchester 94 that belonged to my father and I inherited it after his death far too young.

My other prized rifle is a Colt LE6920 given to me by my best friend for my birthday.
